Job Description

Vinarco is recruiting an experienced Assistant Cook to support galley operations onboard an offshore jack-up drilling rig in Songkhla, Thailand.

The successful candidate will assist the Chief Cook with meal preparation, food storage, kitchen organization and daily catering duties while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Cook with preparing daily meals.
• Wash, prepare and handle food ingredients.
• Support food storage and stock management.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Assist with meal service when required.
• Follow food hygiene and safe food-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the galley.
• Comply with offshore safety and sanitation requirements.

Requirements

• Thai nationality – candidates from Thailand are invited to apply.
• Previous experience as an Assistant Cook or in a similar catering position.
• Relevant offshore catering experience is preferred.
• Previous experience on jack-up drilling rigs or offshore installations is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and sanitation.
• Relevant catering or food hygiene certificates, where applicable.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Chief Cook.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid offshore safety training and medical fitness certification, as required by the employer.
• Good command of English is an advantage.
