Job Description:

An urgent recruitment opportunity is available for an experienced Fitter onboard an Oil Products Tanker flying the Comoros flag. The vessel was built in 2016 and has a GRT of 2,998.

The Fitter will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs, maintenance, and fabrication work onboard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Inspecting and maintaining engine room machinery.
• Carrying out pipe repairs and mechanical fitting work.
• Assisting engineers with troubleshooting and equipment servicing.
• Maintaining workshop tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• Relevant technical qualifications and certificates.
• Previous Oil Products Tanker experience required.
• Previous experience in the same rank is mandatory.
• Good English communication skills.
