Job Description

Benteng Marine Services is looking for an experienced Fitter to join a Bulk Carrier vessel operating worldwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engine department through mechanical maintenance, repair work, fabrication, and inspection of machinery and equipment.

Position Available

• Fitter – USD 2,262/month

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance onboard
• Assist with servicing engine room machinery and equipment
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication work when required
• Inspect and maintain tools and mechanical components
• Assist engineers during machinery overhauls and repairs
• Follow engine room safety procedures and company requirements

Requirements

• Valid Panama Seaman's Book – mandatory
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as Fitter onboard Bulk Carrier vessels
• All documents must remain valid for more than one year
• Previous experience working with multinational crews
• Availability to join immediately
• Relevant technical qualifications and seafarer documentation
• Good English communication skills
• Strong mechanical knowledge and safety awareness
