Job Description

Kvarnership is seeking an experienced Fitter to join a Chemical Tanker vessel for an upcoming deployment in November 2026.

The successful candidate will assist the engine department with machinery maintenance, repairs and technical operations, ensuring that all equipment remains in safe and efficient working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work on engine-room machinery and equipment
• Assist engineers with mechanical inspections and troubleshooting
• Perform fitting, fabrication and workshop tasks as required
• Maintain tools and workshop equipment in good condition
• Follow onboard safety procedures and company maintenance standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Fitter onboard a vessel is required
• Chemical Tanker experience is an advantage
• Valid STCW certification appropriate to the position
• Valid passport, seaman's book and medical certificate
• Good English communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge and safety awareness
