Job Description
South Point is seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join an LNG Bunker Vessel operating in Singapore waters.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing meals for the crew, managing galley operations, maintaining food hygiene standards and ensuring that food supplies are handled and stored appropriately.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare daily meals for the crew.
- Manage galley operations and food provisions.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
- Monitor food storage, stock levels and equipment condition.
- Follow onboard health, safety and sanitation procedures.
- Coordinate with the vessel’s management regarding catering requirements.
Requirements
- Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
- Previous experience onboard LNG vessels – mandatory.
- Relevant experience as a Chief Cook or shipboard cook.
- Valid STCW certificates and applicable medical fitness certification.
- Valid passport and seaman’s book.
- Relevant food hygiene, food safety or catering certificates, where applicable.
- Ability to prepare meals for a multicultural crew.
- Familiarity with LNG bunkering operations is an advantage.
- Good command of English.
- Availability to join in December 2026.
