Chief Cook for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description

Southfield Agencies, Inc. is hiring a qualified Chief Cook with Korean cuisine experience for bulk carrier operations.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare daily meals for officers and crew, including Korean cuisine.
• Plan menus and manage food provisions and galley supplies.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safe food handling.
• Monitor food stocks and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Maintain galley equipment and follow onboard safety and sanitation procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a vessel Chief Cook.
• Experience preparing Korean cuisine.
• At least two contracts of experience in the same rank and on the same type of vessel, in accordance with the advertisement’s general qualification requirements.
• Valid food hygiene and safety certificates, as applicable.
• Valid STCW certificates, medical fitness certificate, and seafarer’s documents.
• Proficiency in English communication.
