Job Description

TOS People is recruiting an experienced Second Engineer with DP Maintenance experience for a Jack-Up Barge project.

The successful candidate will support the Chief Engineer with engineering operations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and the maintenance of machinery and DP-related technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer with daily engineering operations.
• Maintain and inspect main engines, generators, auxiliary machinery, and associated systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment faults.
• Support maintenance activities relating to DP-associated machinery and technical systems.
• Supervise assigned engine-room personnel and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate engine-room records and planned maintenance documentation.
• Monitor machinery performance and report technical concerns.
• Follow onboard safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as Second Engineer on Jack-Up Barges.
• Valid Second Engineer Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position.
• Relevant DP Maintenance experience – required.
• Relevant DP Maintenance qualifications or training, where specified by the employer.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman's Book, where applicable.
• Knowledge of marine engineering, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within an offshore engineering team.
• Availability for the project's mobilisation requirements.
