Job Description:

A maritime operator is currently seeking an experienced Second Engineer to join a DP2 Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) supporting offshore operations in Namibian waters. The vessel provides logistics support for offshore oil & gas projects, including supply transportation, equipment handling, and marine support services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in maintaining the vessel’s propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and engine room operations while ensuring compliance with maritime safety and environmental standards.

Candidates with previous experience on DP2 offshore vessels are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations
• Maintaining propulsion systems, auxiliary engines, and onboard machinery
• Supervising engine room crew and maintenance tasks
• Ensuring safe and efficient vessel machinery performance
• Complying with international maritime safety and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) for Second Engineer
• Previous DP2 offshore vessel experience preferred

Employment Details:

• Contract Duration: 2 months on / 2 months off rotation
• Joining Date: End of March
