Fitter for Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Kestrel Shipping Inc. is recruiting a qualified Fitter to join an Oil/Chemical Tanker Vessel. The Fitter will support the vessel's technical team with mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Performing mechanical maintenance and repairs on vessel equipment.
• Assisting with machinery inspections and troubleshooting.
• Carrying out fitting, fabrication, and workshop duties.
• Supporting planned and corrective maintenance activities.
• Following vessel safety and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• Previous Fitter experience on tanker vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates as applicable.
• Relevant technical/trade qualifications.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Valid seafarer’s book and relevant documents.
