Fitter for Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description:

ASM is recruiting an experienced Fitter to join its chemical tanker fleet. The successful candidate will assist the engine department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, and the upkeep of vessel machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on vessel equipment.
• Assist with fabrication and metalwork as required.
• Inspect machinery and report defects to engineering officers.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment servicing.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.

Requirements:

• Relevant mechanical qualifications or experience as a shipboard Fitter.
• Previous experience on chemical tankers or similar vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates as required for the position.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
