Fitter for Bulk Carrier Vessel

Job Description

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is recruiting an experienced Fitter for a Bulk Carrier. The Fitter will support the engine department with mechanical repairs, maintenance, fabrication, and servicing of machinery and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs.
• Assist with servicing pumps, valves, pipelines, and machinery.
• Carry out fitting and fabrication work.
• Support planned and corrective maintenance activities.
• Follow safe working practices during mechanical and hot-work activities.

Requirements

• Relevant Fitter experience.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid seafarer documents.
• Bulk Carrier experience is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
