Fitter for Oil / Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Fitter to support mechanical repairs, fabrication, and maintenance of machinery and equipment aboard an oil/chemical tanker.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out mechanical repair and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with fitting, fabrication, and workshop activities.
• Inspect tools and equipment and report defects.
• Support the engineering team during machinery overhauls and repairs.
• Follow onboard safety procedures and maintain a clean workshop.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Fitter aboard a vessel or in a marine engineering environment.
• Tanker experience as required by the employer.
• Valid STCW certificates and seafarer documents, as applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
