GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (for most cruise positions)
Basic Requirements
- Valid international passport.
- STCW certificates (for maritime/technical positions).
- Valid medical certificate (Seafarer’s Medical Fitness).
- Good command of English (from basic to advanced depending on position).
- Previous experience in a similar role (from 6 months to 3+ years).
- Ability to work in an international team and follow company standards.
- Clean background check / Police Clearance.
Requirements by Department
Deck & Technical Department
(Captain, Motorman, Deckhand, OS, 1st Assistant Repairman, 2nd Electrician, 2nd Carpenter, Mechanic)
- Relevant maritime documents and certificates.
- Experience in marine or river fleet operations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, vessel maintenance, and repair tasks.
Housekeeping & Steward Department
(Assistant Steward, Cabin Steward/ess, Housekeeper, Assistant Housekeeper, Cleaners, Laundryman, Bellboy/Girl)
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotel or cruise industry.
- Good time-management and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and customer-service mindset.
Food & Beverage / Galley Department
(Waiter, Assistant Waiter, Cook, 2nd Cook, Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine, Galley Steward, Baker)
- Background in restaurants, hotels, or cruise ships.
- Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP).
- Ability to work under high workload and in a fast-paced environment.
- For senior positions (Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine) — strong experience and professional portfolio.
Medical Staff
(Nurse)
- Medical education and valid professional certificates.
- English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
- Maritime safety certificates (optional/required depending on company).
