Job Description

Vinarco is seeking an experienced Chief Cook to join an offshore jack-up drilling rig operating in Songkhla, Thailand.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily galley operations, preparing meals for offshore personnel and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene and safety. The Chief Cook will also coordinate kitchen activities and ensure efficient use of food provisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals for offshore personnel.
• Organize menus according to crew requirements.
• Supervise kitchen activities and assist other catering staff.
• Manage food provisions, storage and stock levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the galley.
• Ensure safe food handling and proper food storage.
• Maintain catering equipment and report any defects.
• Follow offshore food safety and HSE procedures.

Requirements

• Thai nationality – candidates from Thailand are invited to apply.
• Previous experience as a Chief Cook or Shipboard Cook.
• Relevant offshore catering experience is preferred.
• Previous experience on jack-up drilling rigs or offshore installations is an advantage.
• Relevant cooking, catering or food hygiene qualifications, where applicable.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and sanitation.
• Ability to prepare meals for a large crew.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
• Valid offshore safety training and medical fitness certification, as required by the employer.
• Good command of English is an advantage.
