Tullow launches a drillship for 4 years

Tullow Oil plc is an oil and gas company engaged in exploration, development and extraction of hydrocarbons. The company operates in Europe, South Africa, Asia, North America and Africa. The company has more than 100 development licenses in 25 countries.

Recently, this company has distinctly described their aims in accordance with offshore wells.

Their first aim in this year, which has been already achieved, was to launch a drill ship. It got under way to Ghana for making some workings, so the ship will be sailing for 4-5 years. This year the drillship has to  drill one water nozzle and two production wells at the field and one gas injection well at the TES to provide pressure for oil.
These actions can help reduce losses from the pandemic and increase the number of wells and production in the near future. Moreover, the company has many fresh and interesting ideas on how to increase profits and reduce costs by simplifying wells. They can be done easier and  by this way save in the supply chain

The company added that the cost of the decommissioning program as a whole, is expected to increase by about $ 40 million over the next two years due to the impact of COVID-19  and the new requirement to increase the level of seabed clean-up.
