Ocean shipyard accepted for repair a dry cargo ship under Liberia flag

The shipyard "Ocean" has entered the shipyard "New Cap" under the flag of Liberia to undergo repairs. This was reported by the press service of the plant.
During the repair, restoration of hatch covers, outer skin and structures of the hull, propeller-rudder, anchor and mooring device, bottom-outboard fittings, etc. will be carried out.

“The repair of the hatch covers of the McGregor system looks especially interesting. These are roll-back closures consisting of several box sections connected by chains. To open the hold, the hatch sections are moved on rollers along the coamings using a cable transmission. To repair the hatch covers, it will be necessary to disassemble, restore the elements and reassemble the McGregor mechanism,” the press service noted.

The vessel "New Cap", built in 1997, is designed to carry general cargo. The vessel has a length of 102.8 meters, a width of 15.9 meters, a draft of 4 meters, and a deadweight of 5.8 thousand tons.
The Ocean Shipyard specializes in the production and repair of container ships, tankers, tugs and barges. Engaged in stevedoring activities.
