Cruises on Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will be available only for vaccinated

Cruises on Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will only be allowed for coronavirus-vaccinated guests from autumn, the management of a German shipping company announced on July 28.

The vaccination requirement will apply to all travelers aged 18 and over who wish to go on a cruise. At the same time, it is clarified that, depending on the region of travel, there may be individual requirements, which also provide for the vaccination of younger passengers.

With the measure, Hapag-Lloyd wants to meet existing and projected official vaccination requirements for cruise passengers in some target regions, the company said. In this case, the status of the patient will be equated to full vaccination.

It is noted that the cruise industry is under particular pressure due to several outbreaks of coronavirus infection in recent months on board tourist ships. Some companies are fighting for their existence by introducing appropriate requirements.
