Attack on a ship off the coast of Somalia

It has been known that an unsuccessful attempt to hijack a ship that was sailing along the coast of Somalia was made by pirates. This was announced on August 13 by the UK Navy's Merchant Shipping Coordination Center (UKMTO).

"UKMTO has received a report of an attack on a ship <...> about 100 nautical miles from Mogadishu," the center said in a statement, which described the situation as a pirate attack.

The investigation is started yesterday but there is no information yet.
It is only indicated that both the ship and its crew are currently safe.
