Chief Electro-Technical Officer for DP3 Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessel

Job Description:

South Point is seeking an experienced Chief Electro-Technical Officer (Chief ETO) for an upcoming offshore project aboard a DP3 Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessel.

The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems onboard. Applicants must be Malaysian nationals with relevant electro-technical experience and valid professional qualifications for the position.

The estimated joining date is November 2026, subject to final confirmation.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of electrical, electronic, automation, and control systems.
• Supervise electrical maintenance activities and troubleshoot technical faults.
• Ensure the reliability of power distribution, monitoring, and alarm systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and onboard operational requirements.

Requirements:

• Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
• Relevant experience as a Chief ETO or in a comparable senior electro-technical role.
• Previous offshore or accommodation-vessel experience is an advantage.
• Valid professional qualifications and certificates appropriate to the position.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman’s Book, where applicable.
• Relevant electrical, electronic, automation, and control-system experience.
• Good English communication skills and a strong safety-conscious attitude.
• Availability for the estimated November 2026 joining date, subject to confirmation.
