Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Guard Vessel operating in The Netherlands. This is a rotational position offering stable employment with a fixed schedule and the opportunity to work in a multinational crew environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and management of the vessel's propulsion, machinery, and auxiliary systems while ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Manage the operation, maintenance, and repair of all engine room machinery and equipment.
Supervise and coordinate the engine department to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
Plan and execute preventive maintenance in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate engine room logs, maintenance records, and technical reports.
Support emergency response procedures and participate in onboard safety drills.
Requirements:
Valid ATT Class I or Class II Certificate of Competency.
Valid STCW certificates.
Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate.
Valid Seaman's Book.
Valid Schengen Visa.
Minimum 2 years of experience as Chief Engineer onboard Guard Vessels.
Experience working with multinational crews.
Good English communication skills.
Available to join ASAP.
