Job Description:
An opportunity is available for an experienced Chief Engineer to join an ASD Tug operating in Mukran, Germany, with joining scheduled for 17 April. The vessel is engaged primarily in port operations, assisting LNG vessels with maneuvering and berthing. This role requires a highly skilled engineer with proven ASD tug experience, capable of maintaining engine performance and ensuring safe and efficient vessel operations in a dynamic port environment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Overseeing the operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and systems
• Ensuring reliability and efficiency of propulsion and auxiliary equipment
• Supporting safe tug operations during LNG vessel assistance in port
• Managing engine room crew and maintenance schedules
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company regulations
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Mandatory experience on ASD Tug vessels
• Previous experience as Chief Engineer in similar operations preferred
