Job Description: We are urgently looking for a Chief Engineer to join an ASD tug with winch operations experience. The role involves ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and performance of all engine room systems onboard. The Chief Engineer will support towing and winch-related operations, ensuring machinery reliability and compliance with safety and operational standards. Start date is 20/05, with a 4-week contract duration.
Key Responsibilities: As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to: • Oversee operation and maintenance of all engine room machinery and systems
• Ensure safe and efficient performance during towing and winch operations
• Supervise engine room crew and delegate daily technical tasks
• Monitor and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Carry out troubleshooting and repairs of mechanical and auxiliary systems
Requirements: • Experience as Chief Engineer on ASD tugs with winch operations
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Strong technical background in towing and offshore support vessels
