Chief Engineer for AHTS NON-DP Vessel

Job Description:

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is recruiting a Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering department aboard a non-DP AHTS vessel. The successful candidate will ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and safe performance of propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervise engine-room operations and engineering personnel.
• Maintain propulsion engines, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
• Plan and oversee preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Monitor machinery performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain technical records and onboard safety standards.

Requirements:

• Relevant Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency.
• Previous experience as Chief Engineer on AHTS vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
