Job Description:

We are urgently seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to join a Harbour Tug operating in Oman.
The role involves supporting daily engine room operations and maintenance onboard a tug engaged in harbor assistance, maneuvering, and port operations.

This position is suitable for candidates with prior tug or similar vessel experience, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced harbor environment with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting with daily engine room operations and watchkeeping
• Performing routine maintenance and repairs of main and auxiliary machinery
• Monitoring machinery performance and reporting any abnormalities
• Supporting Chief and Senior Engineers during harbor operations
• Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the rank
• Valid Certificate of Competency (COC)
• Valid Seafarer Medical Certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Previous experience on harbor tugs or similar vessels (preferred)
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
