Job Description:
We are urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Chief Engineer to join a Self-Propelled Jack Up Barge DP2 operating in offshore waters of Saudi Arabia.
This is a 60-day contract with immediate joining. The position requires strong technical leadership and proven offshore experience, particularly on jack-up barges or AHTS vessels. The candidate must be capable of managing all engine room operations while ensuring full compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and engine room systems
- Managing maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Supervising engine room personnel and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Coordinating with deck and DP teams to support offshore operations
- Ensuring adherence to company, class, and flag state requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer’s License (CoC)
- Minimum obligatory experience:
- 12 months as 2nd Engineer on a Self-Propelled Jack Up Barge
OR - 12 months as Chief Engineer on AHTS vessels
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Marlins English Test with minimum 60% score in all sections
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Proficiency in English
