Job Description:
A reputable offshore company is seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a DP II Research Support Vessel. The successful candidate will support engine room operations and ensure the safe and efficient performance of all machinery onboard. The position is scheduled to commence on 11 August and offers a 5-week offshore contract.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the operation and maintenance of the vessel's machinery.
- Ensure the reliability and maintenance of DP-related engineering systems.
- Carry out planned maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
- Maintain compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
- Promote safe engine room operations and participate in emergency response activities.
Requirements:
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
- Proficiency in English communication
- DP Maintenance certification/experience
- Solid experience on offshore vessels is mandatory
- Previous experience as 2nd Engineer
- Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
