Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer to join the Container Vessel CMA CGM Canarias operating worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations, maintenance activities, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all machinery and technical systems onboard.
The candidate must hold a valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) License and have proven experience working onboard container vessels in the rank of 2nd Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine department operations
• Supervise maintenance and repair activities of machinery and equipment
• Monitor performance of main engine, auxiliary engines, and technical systems
• Maintain engine room records, reports, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and international maritime regulations
Requirements:
• Valid Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch (OICEW) License
• Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience in the rank of 2nd Engineer
• Container vessel experience preferred
• Valid COC and Endorsement
• All valid STCW certificates
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Valid passport
• Valid Seaman’s Book with documented sea service records
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
• Good English communication skills
