Job Description
A leading international shipping company is currently seeking an experienced Second Engineer to join the CONRO vessel CMA CGM Canarias operating on worldwide trading routes.
The successful candidate will assist in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's engine department, oversee machinery maintenance, ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, and support the Chief Engineer in maintaining operational readiness throughout the voyage.
This opportunity is ideal for qualified marine engineers with previous CONRO or merchant vessel experience seeking competitive European employment conditions.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily management of the engine department
- Supervise engine room operations and maintenance activities
- Ensure safe operation of propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and onboard systems
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules
- Maintain engine room records and technical documentation
- Ensure compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company safety procedures
- Support bunkering operations and machinery troubleshooting
- Work effectively within a multinational crew environment
Requirements
- Valid Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch (OICEW) Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 12 months of actual sea service in the rank of Second Engineer
- Valid STCW 2010 certification package
- Valid Certificate of Endorsement
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman's book with documented sea service
- Valid medical certificate
- References from previous employers
- Updated CV detailing sea service history
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Good English communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge, leadership, and safety awareness
