Navis is recruiting an experienced Second Engineer to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel operating on worldwide trading routes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations, maintenance activities, and safe operation of all machinery and technical systems onboard.
The position requires proven experience in the same rank on similar vessel types, valid engineering certification, and readiness for international deployment.

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine department operations
• Supervise engine room personnel and daily maintenance activities
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot main engines, auxiliary machinery, and technical systems
• Ensure planned maintenance is carried out according to company procedures
• Maintain accurate engine room records and documentation
• Support compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company safety procedures
• Participate in emergency drills and onboard safety activities
• Valid Second Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC)
• Valid STCW certification package
• Valid US Visa C1/D required
• Minimum 18 months of actual sea service onboard similar vessel types in the rank of Second Engineer
• Previous Bulk Carrier vessel experience required
• Valid Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
• References from previous employers preferred
• Good English communication skills
• Strong technical knowledge and safety awareness
• Fully vaccinated against Covid-19
