Job Description:

Atlas NextWave is looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join our survey/support vessel for a 4-week project starting between April 1–4, with embarkation in Poland. This is a short-term opportunity for a qualified engineer with diesel-electric systems experience. Candidates must hold a valid Certificate of Competency (Unlimited, >3,000 kW) and all required STCW certifications as listed below.



Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy and rank, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

· Engine room operations, watchkeeping, and supervision of engineering personnel
· Routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of diesel-electric propulsion systems and auxiliary machinery
· Compliance with all safety management systems, ISM, and permit-to-work procedures
· Assisting the Chief Engineer in daily engineering operations and maintenance planning
· Accurate record-keeping of engine room logs, maintenance schedules, and fuel consumption



Requirements:

Experience:

· Experience with diesel-electric systems – mandatory

Valid Certificates & Documents:

· CoC (Certificate of Competency): Second Engineer (Unlimited, >3,000 kW) or higher
· STCW Medical certificate
· Valid SMBK (Seaman's Book)
· BOSIET / CA-EBS
· Basic Safety Training (BST) – A-VI/1
· Proficiency in Survival Crafts and Rescue Boats (PSCRB) – A-VI/2-1
· Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats (PFRB) – A-VI/2-2
· Advanced Fire Fighting (AFF) – A-VI/3
· High Voltage Management (HV) – A-III/2
· Ship Management – A-VIII/2
· Designated Security Duties (DSD incl. SA) – A-VI/6-2
· Medical First Aid (MFA) – A-VI/4-1
· DP Maintenance certificate
· Proficiency in English communication (verbal and written)
· Availability: Must be available to join between April 1–4
