Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer to join a research support vessel operating in UK waters. This is a short-term temporary assignment suitable for candidates who are fully eligible to work in the United Kingdom and have strong experience on offshore vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and technical systems
- Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities
- Monitor vessel performance and report technical issues
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations
- Maintain documentation and logs in accordance with vessel and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
- Solid, proven experience on offshore vessels
- Strong technical knowledge of marine engineering systems
- Ability to work within a small professional team
- Good command of English for vessel communication
