Job description

Location: United Kingdom

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer to join a research support vessel operating in UK waters. This is a short-term temporary assignment suitable for candidates who are fully eligible to work in the United Kingdom and have strong experience on offshore vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery and technical systems
Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities
Monitor vessel performance and report technical issues
Assist the Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations
Maintain documentation and logs in accordance with vessel and regulatory standards

Requirements:

Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
Solid, proven experience on offshore vessels
Strong technical knowledge of marine engineering systems
Ability to work within a small professional team
Good command of English for vessel communication
