Job Description:
An experienced 2nd Engineer is required to join a Cable Layer for a short-term offshore assignment from 17 August to 8 September 2026. The successful candidate will support the Chief Engineer in maintaining the vessel's propulsion and auxiliary machinery while ensuring safe and efficient engineering operations during cable laying activities. Candidates holding a valid USA visa for wind-related activities will have an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Chief Engineer with engine room operations and planned maintenance.
Monitor and maintain propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and engineering systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate engine room records and support safe offshore operations.

Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Valid BOSIET with CA-EBS
Valid GWO Sea Survival
Previous experience as 2nd Engineer on Cable Layers or offshore vessels is preferred
USA Visa for wind activities is an advantage
