2nd Engineer for AHTS Non-DP Vessel

Job Description:

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is seeking a Second Engineer to assist with the management and maintenance of machinery aboard a non-DP AHTS vessel. The successful candidate will support the Chief Engineer in ensuring safe and efficient engine-room operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Supervise assigned engine-room maintenance tasks.
• Monitor equipment performance and report defects.
• Maintain engine-room logs and technical records.
• Follow onboard safety and environmental procedures.

Requirements:

• Relevant Second Engineer Certificate of Competency.
• Previous experience on AHTS vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
