Job Description:
We are urgently seeking a qualified and experienced Second Engineer to join an AHTS DP2 (Anchor Handling Tug Supply, DP2 class) vessel operating in offshore waters of the United Arab Emirates.
This is a short-term contract (60–90 days) with immediate joining. The role requires solid technical knowledge, DP vessel experience, and the ability to support dynamic positioning operations from the engine room.
ADNOC-approved candidates will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Chief Engineer in the safe and efficient operation of all engine room machinery
- Maintaining DP-related systems and ensuring DP readiness at all times
- Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
- Supervising engine room ratings and ensuring compliance with safety procedures
- Supporting offshore operations in accordance with company and ADNOC requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Second Engineer’s License (CoC)
- Valid DP Maintenance Certificate
- Valid DPVM Certificate
- Minimum 24 months of actual onboard experience on similar AHTS DP2 vessels in the rank of Second Engineer
- Minimum 500 DP hours (documented)
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Marlins English Test with minimum 60% score in all sections
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Proficiency in English
- ADNOC-approved candidates preferred
