We are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Engineer for a Research Support Vessel operating in the UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of engine room systems and machinery, ensuring the vessel operates efficiently and safely.
This role is suitable for professionals with solid experience on offshore vessels, strong technical expertise, and the eligibility to work in the UK.

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Operation and maintenance of engine room machinery and equipment
• Performing troubleshooting and repairs to ensure the vessel’s operational readiness
• Monitoring engine performance, fuel consumption, and machinery operations
• Assisting the Chief Engineer in planning and executing maintenance activities
• Ensuring compliance with offshore safety standards and company procedures

• Solid experience on offshore vessels (Research Support Vessel experience is a plus)
• Valid STCW certificates relevant to the position
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Strong technical skills and troubleshooting experience in offshore environments
• Good communication skills in English
