Fitter for Bulk Carrier vessel

Job Description:

Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is recruiting an experienced Fitter to join a Bulk Carrier vessel. The successful candidate will support the engine department with mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and workshop activities to ensure the reliable operation of vessel machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs as instructed.
• Assist with overhauling and servicing machinery and equipment.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and fitting work when required.
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment.
• Follow safe working practices and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Previous experience as a Fitter on merchant vessels is preferred.
• Bulk Carrier experience is an advantage.
