Chief Engineer for Oil Products Tanker Vessel

Job Description:

An urgent vacancy is available for an experienced Chief Engineer onboard an Oil Products Tanker flying the Comoros flag. The vessel was built in 2016 and has a GRT of 2,998.

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the engine department, ensuring the safe and efficient performance of all machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising and managing all engine department operations.
• Ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines.
• Planning preventive maintenance and machinery repairs.
• Monitoring fuel consumption and engine room performance.
• Ensuring compliance with technical and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC).
• Previous Oil Products Tanker experience required.
• Previous experience in the same rank is mandatory.
• Good English communication skills.
