Job Description:
Status Maritime Corp. is urgently hiring a qualified 3rd Mate to join an Oil/Chemical Tanker. The successful candidate will support the deck department with navigational watchkeeping, cargo-related duties, safety operations, and routine deck activities. Candidates should be prepared for immediate deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Perform bridge watchkeeping and assist with safe navigation of the vessel.
Assist with cargo operations and ensure compliance with vessel procedures.
Conduct safety, security, and emergency preparedness duties.
Maintain navigational equipment, charts, and required records.
Support routine deck operations and maintenance as instructed.
Requirements:
Valid Certificate of Competency appropriate for the position
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Relevant experience on Oil/Chemical Tankers
Good command of English
Valid passport and seafarer documentation
Availability to join ASAP
