Job Description:
The 3rd Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and operation of specific machinery systems, assisting senior engineers in ensuring reliable performance of all onboard equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operating and maintaining auxiliary engines and pumps.
• Monitoring fuel systems and daily tank soundings.
• Assisting in repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Recording daily engine room data.
• Following safety procedures during engine operations.
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certification with 3rd Engineer license (Gas Carrier).
• Minimum 1 year experience as 3rd Engineer on LPG/chemical carriers.
• Good knowledge of marine engines and mechanical systems.
• Fit for sea duty (medical certificate required).
• English communication skills.
Employment Details:
• Contract Duration: 4–6 months rotation.
