Location: Global (LPG Fleet)
Job Description:
The 2nd Engineer assists the Chief Engineer in managing the engine department and ensuring smooth operation of all machinery on the LPG vessel. The role includes preventive maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations.
• Monitoring main and auxiliary engines, pumps, compressors, and generators.
• Maintaining and recording engine performance logs.
• Supervising junior engineers and engine crew.
• Participating in drills and implementing safety procedures.
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates with 2nd Engineer license (Gas Carrier).
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar rank on LPG tankers.
• Medical fitness and tanker endorsements required.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• English proficiency in technical and operational communication.
