2nd Engineer for Conro Vessel

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a CONRO Vessel operating worldwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations, machinery maintenance, and the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's propulsion and auxiliary systems.

Candidates must hold a valid Second Engineer's Certificate of Competency (COC) and have a minimum of 24 months of experience in the same rank on similar vessel types. Experience with 4-stroke engines is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Chief Engineer in managing daily engine room operations.
• Supervising the maintenance and repair of main engines and auxiliary machinery.
• Monitoring the performance of 4-stroke engines and associated technical systems.
• Planning and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Ensuring compliance with onboard safety procedures and engine department regulations.

Requirements:

• Valid Second Engineer's License / Certificate of Competency (COC).
• Minimum 24 months of experience as 2nd Engineer on similar types of vessels.
• Mandatory experience with 4-stroke engines.
• English test completed within the last 3 months.
• Valid COC, flag endorsement, and STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
• Good English communication skills.

• Copy of COC, flag endorsement, and all valid STCW certificates.
• Passport copy.
• Copies of all pages of the Seaman's Book showing sea service details for every vessel listed in the CV.
• References from previous employers.
• Valid medical certificate.
