Job Description:

An urgent recruitment opportunity is available for a qualified Second Engineer onboard an Oil Products Tanker flying the Comoros flag. The vessel was built in 2016 and has a GRT of 2,998.

The successful candidate will assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations and maintaining machinery and technical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and maintaining main and auxiliary engines.
• Supervising engine room maintenance and repair activities.
• Carrying out machinery inspections and troubleshooting.
• Supporting preventive maintenance programmes.
• Ensuring compliance with engine room safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid Second Engineer Certificate of Competency (COC).
• Previous Oil Products Tanker experience required.
• Previous experience in the same rank is mandatory.
• Good English communication skills.
