Job Description
Ogenus Offshore is seeking an experienced Assistant Driller for upcoming drillship projects. The successful candidate will support the Driller in the safe and efficient execution of drilling operations, ensuring compliance with offshore safety procedures and operational requirements.
Candidates must have relevant drillship experience, valid offshore certifications, and availability to mobilise in the near term.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the Driller with the safe and efficient execution of drilling operations.
- Monitoring drilling equipment and supporting routine operational checks.
- Supervising drilling-floor activities as assigned.
- Coordinating with the drilling team to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Following established well-control procedures and offshore safety regulations.
- Reporting equipment defects, operational issues, and safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Assistant Driller aboard a drillship.
- Valid offshore certifications relevant to the position.
- Knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and offshore safety procedures.
- Relevant well-control certification, as required for the role.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding offshore environment.
- Availability for near-term mobilisation.
