Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, confident, and highly organised Chief Stewardess to join a 44m private sailing yacht.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Chief Stewardess aboard a sailing yacht of a similar size and be capable of taking full responsibility for the smooth operation of the interior department.

A strong understanding of the specific demands of sailing yacht operations, excellent service standards, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example are essential.

The successful candidate will oversee all interior operations, including guest service, housekeeping, laundry, provisioning, inventory management, and interior administration. They should be proactive, exceptionally organised, and able to maintain high standards while fostering a positive and supportive team environment.

We are looking for someone with a kind but confident personality, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication. A good sense of humour, a positive attitude, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure are highly valued. The successful applicant should integrate well with an established crew and bring both professionalism and warmth to the role.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Managing and supervising all interior department operations.
• Delivering exceptional guest service and maintaining high hospitality standards.
• Overseeing housekeeping, laundry, and interior presentation.
• Managing provisioning, inventories, and interior administration.
• Leading, training, and supporting the interior team.
• Maintaining effective communication with the Captain and other crew members.
• Ensuring interior operations comply with yacht procedures and hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Chief Stewardess aboard a sailing yacht of a similar size.
• Strong knowledge of sailing yacht operations and interior department management.
• Excellent guest service, housekeeping, and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and a supportive management style.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within an established crew.
• A calm, positive, adaptable, and professional attitude.
• Valid B1/B2 visa – essential.
• Schengen visa status to be confirmed with the recruiter.
