Wartsila equips six LPGs under construction in China

Wartsila Technology Group has been awarded an agreement for the supply of fuel handling and fuel delivery systems for six new liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) tankers with a capacity of 93 thousand cubic meters.

It is noted that these will be some of the largest vessels of this type. They will be equipped with the renowned Wartsila High Efficiency Cargo Handling System and the unique Wartsila LFSS.

These tankers belong to the class of very large gas carriers (VLGC) of 93 thousand tons and are the fourth generation of gas carriers developed by the design bureau of a Chinese shipyard.

A division of the Finnish technology group Wartsila Gas Solutions is a major developer of innovative systems and technological solutions. The company provides life-cycle support for the gas value chain and specializes in gas handling systems for marine gas transportation (storage, fuel, boil-off gas supply and handling), energy use.
