Job Description:
OSM Thome is recruiting a Motorman / Oiler to join an offshore pipe-lay vessel operating in Brazil. The role involves supporting the engine department in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all machinery in a demanding offshore environment. The vessel operates 24/7, requiring strong safety awareness, teamwork, and adherence to company and international standards. Accommodation and meals are provided onboard in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the operation and routine maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, and engine room machinery
• Carrying out regular oiling, greasing, cleaning, and housekeeping in machinery spaces
• Monitoring equipment condition, reporting defects, and supporting repairs under engineer supervision
• Assisting with bunkering, fuel transfer, and lubricating oil operations
• Following all safety, environmental, and permit-to-work procedures

Requirements:
• Valid Motorman / Oiler (Engine Rating) certificates in accordance with STCW
• Previous experience as Motorman / Oiler, preferably on offshore or DP vessels
• Valid medical fitness certificate
• Required offshore survival and safety certificates valid for Brazil
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in an international crew
• Safety-minded, reliable, and willing to work in a continuous offshore operation
