Job Description

Fortis Engineering is seeking a qualified Oiler to join its marine operations.

The successful candidate will assist the engineering team with routine engine room duties, machinery monitoring, lubrication, and maintenance activities to support the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Position Available

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with routine engine room operations
• Monitor machinery and equipment during assigned duties
• Carry out lubrication and basic maintenance tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the engine room
• Report machinery abnormalities to engineering officers
• Follow safety procedures and instructions from senior engineers

Requirements

• Relevant Oiler qualifications or certification, as applicable
• Valid STCW certification
• Valid seafarer's documents and certificates
• Relevant experience as Oiler
• Good English communication skills
• Good mechanical awareness
• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
