Motorman / Oiler for DP3 Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessel

Job Description:

South Point is seeking an experienced Motorman / Oiler for an upcoming offshore project aboard a DP3 Semi-Submersible Accommodation Vessel.

The successful candidate will assist with engine-room operations, machinery monitoring, lubrication, inspections, and routine maintenance. Applicants must be Malaysian nationals with relevant marine engineering support experience and valid certificates appropriate to the role.

The estimated joining date is November 2026, subject to final confirmation.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assist with the operation and maintenance of engine-room machinery and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor lubrication systems, machinery conditions, and equipment performance.
• Conduct routine inspections and report abnormalities to engineering officers.
• Support preventive maintenance, machinery servicing, and engine-room housekeeping.
• Follow onboard engineering procedures and comply with safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
• Relevant experience as a Motorman, Oiler, or in a comparable engine-room support role.
• Previous offshore or accommodation-vessel experience is an advantage.
• Valid STCW certificates and applicable endorsements.
• Valid CoP or other professional qualifications appropriate to the position, where applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate and Seaman’s Book, where applicable.
• Practical knowledge of engine-room machinery, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
• Good English communication skills and a strong safety-conscious attitude.
• Availability for the estimated November 2026 joining date, subject to confirmation.
