Job Description:
We are urgently looking for an experienced Motorman / Greaser (MTM) to join our client's Split Hopper Barge operating in the UK. The successful candidate must hold a valid UK Work Permit and A/III/5 Licence and be available to join on 21 September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the engineering team with the operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery.
Carry out routine lubrication, cleaning, and inspection of engine-room equipment.
Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Monitor machinery and report any defects or abnormalities to the engineering officers.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized engine-room working environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Motorman / Greaser (MTM)
Valid A/III/5 Licence
Valid UK Work Permit
Experience on hopper barges or similar vessels preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Available to join on 21 September 2026
