To be considered for the role of Mechanic at Lerwick Lifeboat Station you will need:
To be a passed-out RNLI ALB Mechanic or relevant experience to achieve competence in a timely manner.
To demonstrate leadership and management qualities, and the ability to motivate and maximise people’s potential.
Experience of fulfilling a Lifeboat Mechanic role or equivalent, with the capacity and willingness to develop skills in other areas of seagoing duties.
Knowledge and experience of the operation, maintenance and repair of marine diesels would be desirable, an engineering background and mindset is essential.
